A Brand New M.E.
We are so pleased to have our website revamped and updated. You will find our quality Clippies and Bows – with a fresh new face!
As the launch deadline was almost upon us, the home page picture (which features our daughter, Marin) still had not been filled. I was beginning to stress. I wanted a great picture of Marin wearing my (current) favorite bow clips. A picture that would be timeless yet fresh. I tried to take her picture – really, I did. She won’t sit for me – she’ll accommodate anyone else… but not me. Frustrated, I thought about changing the company name (just kidding!). I bribed her with M&M’s… didn’t work. I had almost resigned myself to putting a picture of clippies or bows in her space. Then I talked to my friend Rose. She is a great photographer and I have enjoyed many of her stills. She can make a bowl of lemons look – well, magical (Just Add Color). I asked if she was as good with a moving target as she was with lemons. We decided to meet and, happily, Rose came through. You can see the proof. Marin is lovely. Rose caught her sweet smile – without any M&M’s. I am ecstatic with Rose’s work – she even made the bunny look photogenic. Our “Grandma Boppi” made that bunny and commented that we should have brushed him before pictures, but I love him all mussed up. He is a nice contrast to the princess dress and my Marin.
It is amazing all the work that goes on in order to create and launch a website. This is my first “real” online store that is all mine, and I did not know what to expect. Props go to my web designer, Melody at Sublime Artistry, who did more than design the site, but answered each and every question and held my hand each step of the way. Without her, this would have taken me twice as long and it wouldn’t have turned out to be everything I’d hoped for.
Thanks to everyone who supported me in so many different ways – I truly appreciate you all.
Julie
