I thought I would join the million other people who will be blogging about Mother’s Day this week. My thoughts are of the special and wonderful Mother’s I know. Specifically, the terrific Mom’s that I have had the pleasure of getting to know at our weekly park play day. Three of them are featured in my newsletter as models for my Flower and Gimp Ribbon Barrettes and Daisy Clippie.

As I took pictures of them, I listened to them make comments about their own appearance – one commented on her gray hair and how her and her husband act like monkeys pulling them out as they “groom” each other. So funny! As I put in barrettes, one Mum commented that she enjoyed her hair played with – so do I! Another Mum was so patient and squatted and turned at my every request while she waited for me to quickly take the shot so she could pick up her son who was crying. Another pushed my daughter in the swing so I could snap some clippie pictures. As I thought about them, I realized that each one of us has weaknesses and strengths, beauty and flaws, sensitivity and courage. I love these Moms. I think they are perfect and beautiful and sweet.

There are many other other Mothers worth a mention this Mother’s Day (sister’s who always support me when they buy my clippies, my own Mum who makes butterflies and flowers for me)... but I wanted to make this brief. I’m not accomplished enough to make a long blog interesting. Just wanted to make mention of the beautiful models you will see in my newsletter and pay a short, but heartfelt tribute to all of the amazing Mothers out there!
